Miller of Motherwell will be absent for up to two months.

Lennon Miller, a key youth midfielder for Motherwell, will miss up to two months of action due to an ankle fracture.

The Scotland Under-21s international, who has a contract with the Fir Park club through the summer of 2026, has been a vital member of Stuart Kettlewell’s team for the last two seasons.

After hurting himself challenging Oscar Cortes early in the game, Miller, 18, was substituted in the second half of Motherwell’s 2-2 tie with Rangers on December 29.

Additionally, his manager has confirmed that the diagnosis is more serious than initially thought.

According to Kettlewell, “He’s going to be longer than a month,” His ankle has a hairline fracture, which will prevent him from playing for a long time.

He has now done this twice. He made an effort to stay because Lennon was Lennon. Despite having a patella fracture last season, he made an effort to play through it.

“But in getting that yellow card it looks like he’s sustained a pretty significant injury which is going to keep him out somewhere around six to eight weeks.”
